I was trying out some new loads for the next match. We started out at 600 yards and the new load was doing great! We had a mild wind from 9 to 3 and I hit the X-ring six times before the wind blew me off to the right side of the 10-ring. I compensated and finished with a final X.

Eleven rounds, one sighter and ten for score, for 1.2 MOA at 600 yards! Standard deviation of 12. Now if I can just do that on match day! I was using a rear bag though. I won't be allowed to use one for the match. This was an ammo test though, so the next practice will be with no rear bag.

Very nice! And with a rifle you built yourself. That's gotta feel pretty darn good!

Cleaning a 600 yard HP target is not easy. I've seen plenty of high masters that can't do it. Congratulations on your achievement.

Thanks, my friends! My next 600 yard practice is on Wednesday. The next match is in a week.

My only conundrum is that I've only got about 4 pounds of IMR-4064 left, and there's none to be found anywhere. I did manage to get an eight pound jug of Varget, so I'll have to figure out what works for Varget now. That will leave me with about 10 or 11 pounds of Varget to work with.

This website claims that it is in stock. Might be worth checking.

https://vortexreloads.com/product/imr-4064/

You might also check Space Coast Bullets, just a couple minutes off I-95 in the Melbourne area. I used to get most of my reloading stuff there.

I'm not so sure of the vortexreloads place. Prices are too good to be true. But I'll definitely check out space coast bullets on Wednesday!
