I found an upper in my things today and don't remember ever buying it.
I'm not sure who made it.
Any guesses?

Details:

-light gray phosphate finish
-16in heavy barrel profile straight with no M4 cut out.
-barrel stamped with FN logo HF MP 5.56 NATO on top
-barrel stamped 5.56 NATO in circular pattern just before flash hider base
-A2 birdcage
-flat top receiver with square forge and no feed ramps but has case deflector
-carry handle rear sight with square forge and and raised cage code type number 1362O
-M4 type grips but I might have put those on way back when it was all the rage
-bayonet lug with underside sling attachment

Palmetto State Armory has used FN-marked barrels in their uppers IIRC.

Could be, don't remember buying anything from them.
The bolt is from SOLGW. Don't remember buying that either.
The carrier is unmarked.

I thought I knew everything I own, but this surprised me.

Yes, PSA CHF upper's barrels are made by FN and are so marked. And the midlength barrels have no M4 cut out. But, I didn't want to say PSA earlier, because you said no feed ramps. All theirs have M4 feed ramps.

My factory PSA complete CHF upper: FN logo followed by HP MP 5.56 NATO 1/7 on top of the barrel, and has the M4 feed ramps.

Uh major mistake by me. I was looking at an old franken Colt upper without feed ramps that was next to the PSA upper and not the one with the FN barrel.
They are both gray phosphate.

You guys are right, it's a PSA and it does have feed ramps.

Thanks, good to know what it is.

The M4 grips came with it.

I was failing all over the place last night. Eek

13629 is the cage code for Colt. Could that be what is on the carry handle? 13620 is the code for the VIP Rubber Company, don’t think they made carry handles.

It could be 18620. The numbers are very small, raised and scrunched/run together.

It's on the right side just forward of the windage knob.
