I believe you mean M2 Ball. M1 Ball is a 172 grain round, used from 1925-1937ish. 150 grain M2 Ball, which replaced the M1 Ball as the standard US military rifle load in 1938ish, is what was used most often in rifles like the Garand during WW2 and afterwards. (During WW2, leftover stocks of M1 Ball were typically reserved for MG use.) | |||
