3/4FlapWhat's this rifle?
http://www.wonderslist.com/wp-.../04/Haiti-Police.jpgGuy second from the right. It's an AR of some ilk but I can't magnify it and it looks like some sort of funky A2 type upper with no carry handle. Like an A1 with a funky receiver top or maybe the carry handle was ground off?
Also, looks like a slight hump on the rear of the stock but that might be just the angle of the pic.

RogueJSKYeah, at first glance it did look like an early slick-side M16 that has had the front part of the carry handle chopped off.
But after a closer look under magnification, it's a Taiwanese T65. (Sort of a cross between an AR-15 and AR-18.) That explains the slick side upper, funky rear sight, and odd curvature of the underside of the buttstock.
Here's some more shots I was able to dig up showing Haitian police officers with T65s, most of which look heavily used:
This one's handguards look like they're being held together with either tape or plastic wrap.
And this T65 is lacking handguards altogether. (The plastic wrap must have fallen off...) He's gonna be really unhappy if he starts firing off rounds while holding onto that unshielded barrel.

cslingerYep that is what it appears to be.
On a side note I am pretty sure dude with the 12 gauge will kill you deader then hell if given half a reason and probably enjoy doing so.

The T65 wielder in the original photo has two mags "jungle taped" together. Does that count?

3/4FlapI KNEW Rogue would come through!!!
That's it.
THANKS!
Thanks and yeah, that gas tube will take just about 2 rounds to get the guy with the bald rifle's attention!

mesabiI suspect that Uncle Sam "gifted" those illustrious Haitian lawdogs a bunch of the T65's we picked-up during Operation Just Cause.
