Buying one of the Magpul backpacker stocks for my Ruger PC Carbine. Looking for a not so obvious way to carry the carbine. Don’t plan on carrying it, but just something that doesn’t scream gun when someone sees it.

Measure it for the dimensions, then just get a nondescript, generic backpack of the right size. Nothing tactical. No MOLLE loops. No gun-related logos, or patch fields. No camo, or "military colors" (OD green, coyote brown, etc.). Just a regular old backpack like every student, worker, hiker, or athlete uses. Look for a backpack at a camping, sporting goods, or office supply store, not at the gun store.

When this topic comes up, some folks like to recommend tennis racket bags or guitar cases. But think about it... When was the last time you saw someone strolling around with a tennis racket bag?! Now, when was the last time you saw someone with a boring backpack? (Likely today, on multiple occasions.)

Yeah, another vote for backpack. I carried an SBR'ed Scorpion with some 35rd mags in an L.L. Bean a few weeks ago. Looked like a tourist.

The tennis bag and guitar bag thing... if you're not carrying other luggage or look like you're actively taking your expensive sporting goods deliberately from the place they live to the place they get used and back again, it kinda stands out.

I bought the carrying bag that Ruger offered at discount when I registered the carbine. I was concerned it'd be some cheap bag from Pakistan but it's very nicely made with lined pockets for both pieces along with more both inside and out. And it doesn't have Ruger on it. https://shopruger.com/Ruger-Ri...e/productinfo/19094/

I have mine stashed in a non discrete Under Armour back pack, fits perfect. I wrap it in an old towel so it doesn’t bang around, someday I’ll get a Magpul set up so I don’t have to worry about that.

I use a padded tennis racket case that I picked up second hand. It has a zippered compartment that can store extra mags, or whatever.
