RogueJSK put me onto these Cole-tac rail covers. Pretty cool addition that should prevent some heat from reaching your hand. Haven’t shot these yet, just installed today. But should work well. We’re very easy to install. Banshee 10mm and 2 BCM 12.5” .223. One on a Noveske and one on a PSA. Nine years to retirement! Just waiting!

Thanks for posting this. I've placed an order to try one out. Looks very promising. Since they're right next door to me in S.D. I like to help out local businesses when I can. Yep, I'm a fan of these Cole-Tac SD Wraps. I discovered these a few years back, and now have them on several of my ARs. Adds heat mitigation. (They were originally designed primarily to protect your hand from the significant added heat when using a suppressor tucked/nested inside the handguard, but the added material is nice anytime you're doing extended strings of fire even unsuppressed.) Adds grip texture. Adds cable management and coverage. All for under $30. They come in about a half dozen different colors and camo patterns, and either with or without cutouts for MLOK slots on the bottom.

I had to wrap my Banshee with a suppressor cover because the MLOC rang like a bell when you'd charge the weapon. ____________________________ Eeewwww, don't touch it! Here, poke at it with this stick.

I’ve been using a HotPocket Rail Wrap on my BRN-180. That rail heats up quick, and the wrap makes it tolerable, but doesn’t eliminate the heat completely. If shooting long, rapid strings while suppressed, it can still get a bit much. Not familiar with the Cole-Tac, but they look quite similar.

Yes, there are quite a few companies offering similar rail wraps, from Grovtec to Wise Men to Burn Proof to HRT to Coletac and more. The Coletac ones are not only more affordable than most, but are also textured, so they are my preference.
