years ago when I was competing in Service Rifle/High Power, 2 guns had ugly guns,

one used either a beater looking M1A, or a Rem SA 700
both looked like they had been dragged behind a truck

and both shot inside of MOA, (he was a High Master)

the other dude was an Expert or Master, cannot remember which, but shot a 700 SA and a home made stock made out of welded up metal, with screws and bolts welded here and there to adjust the cheek pad, butt plate etc, and rattle can painted various colors if parts of it started to rust,

looked like total shit,


was kinda funny to hear new guys talk about the 2 dudes with 'shitty looking' rifles, then they shut up when both placed well above most everybody,



long winded way to say leave it be,
