That rug really tied the room together. |
Never saw that coming! Wish Ruger would do the same thing for their PCC carbines. Here is the magwell adapter. https://www.smith-wesson.com/p...-sauer-p320-9mm-mags ______________________________________________________ Often times a very small man can cast a very large shadow

Any other adapter for Ruger (except ironically enough Springfield XD, Beretta APX, Arex Delta M, and other center-locking models) would require a re-design for the whole magwell. The reason is, a clever engineer at Ruger used the Glock magazine latch to be the gun's own latch. There's no way to activate other latch, at least not officially. The existing aftermarket adapter for P320 and P365 activates off the inside of the release button. Which is not guaranteed to work with future models, makes installation harder, is not compatible with Backpacker or potentially with aftermarket buttons. It works, but only for aftermarket conditions. Ruger themselves will not copy that approach, I don't think. P.S. Oh, man, you really got me thinking: What Would Ruger Do? Being the manufacturer of the gun, they have freedoms that the aftermarket does not. They could easily add an activation nub on the inside of the latch, for example. Or, make latches swappable, like in the Canadian CZ-75 adapter, and add a hollow on the inside of the chassis, so the Canadian technique would apply to something other than CZ-75 (the problem here is that the latch's shoe on other magazine types is outside of the existing cut-out in the magwell, so the Canadian design cannot be applied to P320 today). So yeah, on second thought I see some ways for them adding SIG magwells into a Gen 2 without re-designing the whole gun from scratch.

PSA; didn't see another thread mentioning it but are folks aware of the recall on the S&W Response carbines made prior to Feb. 12, 2024? Was thinking of getting one last week and learned of the recall. Some folks have had out of battery discharges.
