| I've also got a 16s that I wound up with after some trading. It is light shooting enough that it barely cycles if you use the suppressed gas setting without a can on it. The 16s is not much lighter than the 17s, and recoil is incredibly mild even with a can on it. It came with a Branham rail extension and has been great except that I have to make sure not to bring magpul gen2 mags in the range bag. Stanag mags are fine though. |

If what you are referencing is relieving the v shaped area of the mag body behind the follower up top with a Dremel, I'm good. I'd rather not cut on perfectly good magazines if I can just use aluminum usgi mags with no fuss. If you've got some kind of other fix than modding magazines, I am all ears. |
