Hello, Im trying to finish u a few gun projects that I've been slacking on, hopefully somebody here can help me. I have a Weatherby vanguard dangerous game rifle in 375HH, right now the scope is mounted to it with Talley lightweight rings. The scope is a leupold VX3i 1.5-5x24. I want to get rid of the talley lightweights and get something a bit more solid that is also a quick release set up. What I want to get is a leupold quick release ring and 2 piece base set up, but Im having trouble figuring out exactly what to get. Am I correct in thinking that any Remington 700 base (adl OR bdd, makes no difference) bases, for example the Leupold QRW bases for the 700 will fit fine, then from that point, I just select the Leupold QRW rings in the height I want (low) amd /I'm good to go? SOrry for the dumb question, I have not really messed with this articular rifle much other than bolting on the talleys that I got from weatherby and going from there. The talleys work fine and all but Like I said, I want something a bit more solid and weight is not a consideration with this rifle, Plus, obviously, I'd like the ability to dump the scope instantly if needed. The talley detachable ring set up is cool but it costs more than 2x what a leupold one would cost and since Im trying to knock out 3-4 projects right now, ID like to spend less, plus, I just cant imagine a Talley ring set up being THAT much better than a leupold. Thanks!!!

I switched to Talleys on a Win 70. STILL have the Leupold QR 1", blued rings, but unsure if Med or Low. They are .475" from the bottom of ring, to the base. If these will work send the $7.10 for a UPS flat rate package and they are yours. Screws all good, etc....But they may be MEDIUM height. FN in MT
