Yeah, I’ve got a bunch of the “very good” ones coming that we’re I think something like a whopping four bucks each. These were more of an order filler since I felt kind of lame only ordering a single AK mag (needed just the one for a project). This is going to have to keep my need for old rusty stuff covered until the Uzi parts kit gets here and that mess gets underway! Bill R |

| If you bought them because you wanted to spend time removing rust and restoring magazines, awesome. Other than that, they are widely available for very cheap prices.
What, me worry?

| These actually clean up pretty nice! And way less work than I thought. I normally just do a long soak in vinegar, but since these looked bad, I spent a couple more bucks and got a gallon of “metal rescue” brand rust remover. Couple hours soaking, and got this: Turns out these were parkerized under all that, and once I pulled them out and dried off, gave them a rub down with CLP and reassembled, they look pretty good. I will be breaking in the PTR tomorrow, so we will see about how they work... Nope, still not really “worth it” from a money saved standpoint! But gives me something to do I guess... Bill R |

| Enough Kroil to bath them in will cost CONSIDERABLY more than the magazines themselves.

| Picked up some BM 59 Mags a while ago. Some better, some worse. Suggest a tear down to take a look at the guts maybe in order. |

| good job op. degreasing in acetone and boiling in vinegar then priming and painting works great, and inside where it counts, the etched metal will hold oil a thin coat of oil, too.
