Not many AR's get me going these days....(KAC Inside)
....but this one definitely does. I haven't bought a new rifle in years. That changed when I came across a Knights Secret Service contract overrun upper/suppressor combo. Naturally had to get a lower to go with it. Really grateful to be able to have gotten a hold of the 2.1 upper, definitely not something you see everyday. Can't wait to shoot it, impatiently waiting on the lower and can to be released from jail.

Is that a new handguard from KAC? URX 5? 6 ??... It's a big departure from the mount design of the URX4.

Got a couple surprise emails this morning that the lower and suppressor were approved! Took less than 48hrs, beating my previous record of 6 months Razz Got it home, and like any responsible AR owner promptly attached many things. Still need to mount the LAW Tactical side folder and install the FRT, but other than that she's ready to rock!

RAS 5. As far as I know this is the only upper to have it so far that's available to the public.

The NFA branch must have been on a Form 1 approval kick or something yesterday. The 7 Form 1s that I submitted on May 24 were also approved yesterday. Let us know how you like that beauty, I’m sure it’ll be a great shooter.

What's the reasoning behind using two sling sockets a few inches away from each other?

I’ll have to see how well it works on this one, carry over from my 14.5 guns. Basically a quick way to get some more length out of the sling and have the gun hang more vertically off to my side.

Ah.

On my rifles I just use one QD mount about 2/3 of the way towards the rear of the handguard, and then if I need more/less sling length I just slide the quick-adjust on my VCAS sling. Simpler and faster than mounting multiple sockets and then switching the sling's attachment around.

Definitely, my slings have that as well and majority of the time that’s how I’ll do it. It’s less about the extension and more about the rifle hugging closer ultimately for me but found it kills two birds when I want both. Just my quirk in rifle set up I found I liked having the option for
