My wife had ordered this for me around Father’s Day and it just came in. Cannot wait to go hunt T-Rex’s this weekend!

Blame Ruger. It appears that Ruger loves this slower pace of release.

Beautiful set up. Would love to own one in 30-30 caliber.

That 45-70 has way too much recoil for my old shoulder. I bought a single shot years ago, and sold it after 10 shots and yes I even tried a Limbsaver recoil pad.

Thank you! Yeah, the Underwood +P ammo does pack quite a wallop! The 30-30 versions are supposedly available in limited quantities.

I've got an Encore 45-70 that will beat me up with those factory loads, but if I load some 300 grain lead over a smidge of Unique, it's quite pleasant and will still go through anything walking around North America from one end to the other.

With a muzzle energy of 3736 ft. lbs and a velocity of 2275 fps on a 325gr +P round, you absolutely feel the Underwood!

That is a very cool and practical set up. Where did you get the round holders that go on the hand guard?
