Yeah, that 1301 is a piece of shit, isn't it? What do you mean you can't force-feed 4 shells at a time in .09 seconds and have it cycle hot and dirty with pansy-ass skeet loads??? That's how the thing was designed to be used, ain't it? Buckshot, smuckshot! And with a 32 shot extended mag tube that sticks out 6 feet past the muzzle. What kinda crap are these thievin' eye-ties tryin' to pass off on us??

Choosing a "games" gun absolutely requires some thought. Half the clubs I have shot at do not allow heavy game loads or high brass loads. I shot a 1201 (7 round tube) for 2 seasons and changed guns for more capacity. Never had a problem shooting light loads with that gun. Not sure if Berretta has updated the 1301's but shooting the light loads was a problem. The JP's were more problematic. I have seen AK type shotguns with mags almost 3 feet long and devices on shotguns with tubes that hold 25 rounds. Some worked, most did not. I went the inertia vs gas operation direction. Also the class your shooting will dictate rounds allowed in the gun and sight types. Have fun. "Profanity is the linguistic crutch of the illiterate motherfucker."

I have shot hundreds of rounds of low recoil #8 game/target shot and Federal 00 Buckshot (1125 FPS) with zero issues in my 1301 Mod 2. None. Why is this so?

Safety. Some targets and target stands are made of steel (Texas star, plate racks). Less chance of splash back with lighter loads. One shooter on a squad I was shooting loaded #6 high brass for a Texas star and knocked the whole unit down. Rules changed quick at that club after that episode. I have been hit with more back splash from shot gunning than any pistol or rifle shooting. Of course no steel or exotic shot was ever allowed (sparks).
