One in 308 and one in 30-06. The last two guns my dad wanted to give to me and my brother. He gets the 30-06. Like all my dad’s old guns they need some cleaning and a little work here and there. I’ll definitely refinish the stock on mine as it’s completely worn down to bare wood in large areas. But overall I’m sure it’ll shoot just fine after a detailed cleaning and lubrication. 10 years to retirement! Just waiting!

Very nice. I have a few older guns from relatives. I may not shoot them much but keep them lightly oiled.

Nice classics. Made way back when Remington made guns right.

Raised Hands Surround Us Three Nails To Protect Us |
Timely thread. Today I just brought home a 760 in 30-06 that was my grandfathers. Came into the Rifle Room just now to ask what sort of scope I should put on it. Not sure I’d be much good with those irons out to 200 yards. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. Edge seeking Sharp blade! |
Was lamenting that I'd never fired a 760 and was wondering what the pump action feels like. I imagine its lighter than a 12 gauge pump. Then I realized how rare (I think) pump action rifles are. I think Remington had some pump 22s but don't know of other pump rifles.

I’d say my 760 is a little heavier pull than my 870. ———————————————— The world's not perfect, but it's not that bad. If we got each other, and that's all we have. I will be your brother, and I'll hold your hand. You should know I'll be there for you!
