Is anyone using this follower in their AK47 mags? Any flaws?

I have about a dozen beater steel mags that have been sitting loaded for about 12 years. I am going to change the springs on all of them. Considering changing the followers also.

Yes, I do understand that once I remove the empty magazine, the bolt goes forward!
