I think I’ve talked myself into building a SBR that initially will be set up as a 300 Blackout and I’m curious what barrels are good “bang-for-the-buck” options. I’m leaning towards 9” for the length and intend to put a Adams Arms or similar piston system on it since it will likely always be shot suppressed and I’d like to keep the bolt a bit cleaner. It seems like Faxon and Ballistic Advantage have options that keep my budget happy but how are they on accuracy and durability or should I be taking a harder look at other options?

I've had 2 Odin Works barrels on my black out. 16" originally, then 10.5" when I went SBR and suppressed. They were both 1 MOA with a supersonic jacketed handload at 100 yds. Still struggling with subsonic and my cast bullets. I don't have any experience with any other barrels.

Got a Bloodline Rosco 8.2" barrel, 1/7 twist, I like it (suppressed 110 gr Barnes Tac-TX for home defense) (carbine or H1 buffer).

I have a 16 inch Wilson Combat barrel on my 300 BO and it will shoot 3/4 MOA off a rest. When I got it some rumors were circulating that Odin Works made the Wilson Combat barrels but that is simply heresay because I never found any actual documentation for this.

I like Ballistic Advantage Hanson barrels.

I've been thinking about a 300BO AR pistol for a few years, put on hold with the whole pistol brace shenanigans.

What's considered the 'optimal' barrel length for a 300BO that'll primarily be used suppressed with subsonics?
Years ago, I thought I'd read something about a length in the 10-10.5" range was 'ideal' but that gets you nearly back to 16" rifle length with the can on the end.

PSA had some good deals on complete braced pistols, has me thinking about it again.
