smithnsigWant a budget AR optic with some pretty good quality?
To be honest budget scopes are getting better and better. I was searching, maybe a little more than what i needed for the range that is available for me to shoot.
I picked up a Leupold Mark AR MOD 1 3-9x for a song. I decided I needed to become a good medium range shooter before I do any really long range shooting due to the lack of distance shooting that is convenient to me.
I will have to travel to get past 300 yards. I know 3-9 is considered a "hunting" scope by most people, but in truth, it clicks all the boxes for me.
Pros
Mrad reticle.
Tactical turrets with 1/10 mil adjustment.
Adjustable return to zero turrets.
a built in 55 grain dope out to 700 yards.
nice glass for an inexpensive scope.
Cons
Turrets are exposed and not locked in so you might bump one. (with the return to zero its not a deal breaker)
Non illuminated reticle. (this is ok by me)
I really like it. I know it won't do much for the really long range guys, or the high end glass afficianados, but it beats the pants off some more expensive scopes out there.

sigcrazy7What song? Was it a long Wagner Opera, or just a short diddy? I could use one myself.

smithnsigA little over $300 for the mil dot. Duplex is a little bit cheaper.
