Are they worth any extra money?

have a shot at one for a great price. Any lesser known complaints over other models?

I think it’s just match sights and a better trigger. I could be wrong but mine has the thinner blade front sight and smaller hole for the rear sight and the trigger seems like it’s better than a standard M1a.
I’m not a huge M1a guy, but I traded into my rifle and I like it. Not reliable with steel cased ammo though

I don’t have any specific knowledge about the various M1A models, but a thinner front sight blade and smaller rear sight aperture permits a more precise sight picture for accurate shooting. That combination is, however, slower for target acquisition and therefore isn’t used on guns not intended for match level shooting.

You don't mention year of production but I believe they also came with Springfield Armory's medium weight N.M. barrel.
I know my 2001 stainless barreled one did.

The loaded is probably the most popular model M1A they produce. It simply has a medium weight barrel and a match front sight post and a reduced size rear sight aperture. The trigger is supposedly tuned to 4.5 to 5 pounds.

The loaded stocks are available in walnut, black polymer, or the Archangel (Precision) polymer stock. Available chambers are 308 and 6.5.

If someones wants precision, I recommend the walnut and have it bedded. The black GI profile polymer is the most flimsy and not recommended for accuracy work and the Archangel is not good for bedding either. I bedded one once and saw no improvement.

The short answer is yes.

Guy is selling one with an archangel stock, Trijicon accupoint 5-20x50 for 1675.

Seemed like a good deal all together. I’m just undecided on it.

with a trijicon scope, that's a good deal. You can change stocks later.

in these parts, the Arch stock is a difficult resale, and most of the shooters I know that had one switched them out (and later sold the stock)

To me th loaded is the sweet spot for the average shooter. With scope that is a good deal. Get it.
