4x5Fiocchi 223?
A local store has a good supply of Fiocchi 223 in 50 round boxes, so I bought 3 boxes (store limit). Anyone have any experience with Fiocchi in 223? Hopefully it's decent.

Your question is similar to "Is Winchester 223 ammo decent?" Fiocchi makes a wide selection of ammo -- cheap FMJ, ballistic tip varmint, soft point, match hollow point.
You can expect their ammo to go bang every time. Prices can be similar to domestic brands, but prices varies in cycles. Availability tends to come in waves.
Accuracy across my various uppers is just average. Even with the same high-quality bullets, Fiocchi can't attain the accuracy of Federal, Hornady, and Black Hills

sgalczynPut plenty thru my AR and Savage 10FP-LEO:
- the 55gr FMJ is no better/worse than Federal-American Eagle; Prvi Partsan, Magtech or Winchester.
- the 40 and 50-gr ballistic tip are very accurate in my Savage.

JoshNCFiocchi 223 is great. I’ve run about 6k of Fiocchi 55gr fmj through my M16. It’s clean burning range fodder.

SIG228I'd buy a pallet of their 40gr Extrema if I could find it.

egregoreWith one exception ~25 years ago, I've never had a problem with Fiocchi going bang and making holes. (These were all pistol cartridges, but I see no reason for .223 to not be of equal quality.)

Expert308I've only shot about three boxes of Fiocchi .223 (55gr ball), but it was good stuff. As accurate from my 16" carbine as any other M193 clone, better than most. Went bang every time.
I had some 9mm 115gr ball from Fiocchi a while back that suffered a bunch of misfires in a G19. Light primer strikes. The pistol had had its striker spring replaced with a very light one, but only the Fiocchi had any issues with it. Federal, IMI, CCI, all worked fine in the gun. After the spring was replaced with a more standard one, the Fiocchi ceased misfiring too.
