Absolutely. I've tried everything in close quarters. The thermal can't see the equipment, IR can't see in the shadows.
We walk the floor blind, light the green for a second to get your bearings and spot a rat, if one is within 10 feet, hit the laser, pull the trigger , reload then go dark.
Repeat.
Use a bolt gun with CB longs.

This is before I settled on the RAR. I just have a cell phone mount on my laser where the light mounts. We tried other rifles, but the Ruger edged them all out.
This video is a CZ 452. Capacity is too low and the stock too fragile, but WAY lighter than the 77/22 I was using.
The RAR has everything you need. Low weight, high capacity, light trigger, compact and threaded barrel.

I got my hands on a thermal this weekend, and recognized how much I don’t know.
Holy smokes, I’ve got 17 pages to catch up on now!
