KSGMTechniques for shooting low mag prism optics at close range (< 50 yards)?
I have experienced POI shift before, in tinkering with the OEG concept (Aimpoint with front lens cover closed). The dot was zeroed conventionally; perhaps results would be different if zeroed with the cover shut.

Rey HRHWith my left eye not 100% from the retinal detachment, I have to close it while shooting or reading.
To address the POI shift at less than 50 yards, how about you bench rest it and see the variances at 3 other ranges besides 50 yards? You can extrapolate how the trajectory shifts between the 4 points and it will give you a better idea of where you'll hit inside of 50 yards.

pedropcolaWell I just bought the PA 3x Microprism so I will be exploring this as well. My research seems to indicate that the horseshoe portion can be utilized both eyes open as a de facto red dot for up close. Without shooting I don’t know how much parallax will be present.
