Indeed. I just watched that video. I loved how you start with the idea of shorty M16, prototyping that idea with what you already have, and then the trial-and-error process to get us to XM177E2.

Friend of mine had one, or as original as one gets with the parts that were floating around on the market fifteen years ago. Original stock, too. I got to shoot it. Pretty cool little carbine.
