Gas block set screw coming loose.
Just finished putting together an AR using an Odin Works barrel and gas block and I’ve got a small issue. Seems the set crews want to back off and let the gas block leak/move. Will loctite hold it (thinking about heat)?

Drill and pin it

Blue Loctite will do it, just small drop on the end of the screw. Cinch it down snug. Kinda hard to drill and pin without the right tools for these low pro blocks. I have used dozens without issue.

It can be a PIA to actually drill and pin it if you don't have the right tools, but you can easily dimple it and dramatically improve the situation. A simple drill or drill press will suffice for dimpling it.

Dimple the barrel (as mentioned) and use Rocksett instead of Loctite.

Thanks! Rocksett, I’ll have to look for it.
