Del-Ton made the announcement on several online sites.

Sadly, another AR manufacturer / parts supplier going away.

FYI, they are selling off inventory at good prices for buyers.

That's a shame but with as many makers of the ar-15, it is bound to happen to some. M wife has a DTI carbine years ago and loved it. As she got older the cartridge was too much for her to handle and we sold it to get something better for her.

Right now, my LGS has several (I mean several) used ARs in the $300 range. The market is saturated and there is a lot of competition in that cheap bottom tier rung.

And for at least the next 4 years, the market will grow softer and more stagnt

True dat. The last time Trump was president we had 3 local gun shops close up due to diminished demand.
The next 4 years will be a stock up opportunity.

Basically, PSA ate their lunch. Into the dustbin of history alongside Olympic Arms and a few others, probably soon to be joined by Aero if their recent problems are any indicator. A lot of the smaller manufacturers who focused on selling cheap AR's won't make it, and honestly, that's ok.

I intend to use this time period to lay in a really good supply of guns, parts, and ammo. If the past is any indicator, this will not be a time to sell guns without losing your ass, but it will be a fantastic time to buy.

Warning: This is a tangent - The loudmouth manager at Surplus Arms and Ammo in Tacoma lost me forever as a customer back in 2017 when he went on a tirade about Trump because they suffered their worst sales numbers in something like a decade's time. "Say what you will about Obama, but he was the best thing to ever happen to this business." Fuck you, too, buddy. Tired of the 2A community supporting Democrats because they profit like crazy off panic buying. I get it, but there's a big picture here.

Those aren’t 2A supporters smudge, just greedy people wanting more money.

They’d welcome more cancer if they sold treatment supplies.

My old boss had a saying he liked to use-

“Fuck that guy” Big Grin

I know more than a couple gun shops that spend money hand over fist in the good times, and suffer during the slumps. I know of at least one that may fold this time.
