Don't buy optics on Ebay.
If you want to buy something made in China, buy something from a real company that offers a real warranty.
I have been using a Vortex SparcAR in some harsh circumstances and it has held zero like a champ. Available for under $200 with an integral mount. If it fails they will fix or replace it.
Sorry, should have been more clear in my OP.
To clarify. I am not buying the one linked in my OP. I was shocked that such an item exists. I've seen a lot of airsoft type knock offs that look like the real thing, but these have Trijicon stamped right on them, and are clearly meant to fool people with the similar boxes etc.
I bought a used one for a good price but was afraid that maybe I was being sold a forgery unbeknownst to the seller, as the seller has a good rep on the local gun site he was selling it on.
This doesn't appear to be a knockoff. I just picked it up tonight. I got it for $375 so not super cheap but enough of a discount I think it's a good deal.
I thoroughly checked it out and it appears genuine. Seller even had all of the original stickers, and paperwork etc that came with it.
I've only mounted it a hour ago so have not been able to shoot with it yet, but I like the view through it. Obligatory picture to follow.

I have one and love it. Traded a Smith 64 even for it at a good shop in Elizabethtown, PA. I'm good with the factory mount but I highly recommend getting the factory soft rubber cover. It protects the body and has clear covers for the glass. It was $55 from Midway.
Definitely like the idea of one of those.

Going to keep an eye out for the full co-witness mount as the 1/3 co-witness it came with is a little higher than I'd like.

Il CattivoA couple of places online had what looked like good deals on the lower mounts over the past few months. You might get lucky on one during the Labor Day or post-Christmas sales.

If you don't need the QD option I suggest SLR Rifleworks
http://slrrifleworks.com/index...oduct&product_id=673Very light but sturdy. I bought it right when the MRO and mount came out for $50 as an intro price.

Thanks for the suggestion. I'll keep an eye out for mounts
