Hello Guys,

I know I usually post more modern guns but today is a little different. I purchased this Inland from a buddy this morning. She is in great shape and I’m sure will clean up well once I am able to take her apart. I don’t care if it is correct or not, I am just happy to own a little piece of WW2 history.

More to come when I get her all cleaned up and hit the range.

Looks good, it’s been through the depot refurb, judging from the bayonet mount and flip safety, so may have a mix of parts, but only collectors care about that.

Very nice!

M1 Carbines are some of my favorite rifles, both historically and for pure range fun.

Nice purchase! I'm very jealous. They are a great piece of history and a lot of fun to shoot.

I really enjoy shooting mine. A fun lil plinker for sure! Doc, I did the same thing- old school canvas sling & mag carrier on the buttstock. Looks great!

My dad was badly wounded in the battle for Tinian island. He was hit in the knee, chest and right hand. I have a receit where he had to sign for the loss of a M1 Carbine, a 20 round magazine, a sling and an oiler. Due to his injuries he had to sign an X for his name. He spent 14 months in a military hospital.

No pic to share (I know, I know, party foul), but love my carbine I picked up maybe 25 (?) years ago for $100 at a local shop. Still had the unit number painted on the side of the stock, added some coolness to it compared to the other ones they had in their barrel of carbines.

I took her apart, cleaned and greased the internals and put a coat of BLO on the stock. She came out looking very nice for an old lady…lol.

Did you take the trigger group completely apart? Worked on one last week, fun fun getting that spring back in.
