Can anyone recommend a good set of scope and mounts for a Ruger for a 10/22?

Most of mine are in DNZ mounts. As to scopes, really depends on what you're going to do with it. We use ours pretty much for hutning so we have Leupold 3-9s, 2-7s or 4-12's on ours.

you didn't say what you are using it for or a budget which would help. But my 'general purpose' go to on a 10/22 is the Leupold 3-9. I would be happy as well with WARPIG602 options is you need less or more magnification.
My normal mounting method is a picatinny rail on the gun (I like area419) and then pic mounts for the scope. Mostly because that makes the setup somewhat universal and easy to move.

Vortex Optics Crossfire II Second Focal Plane, 1-inch Tube 6-18 AO

I got it on amazon for 180 and then a monstrom one peice mount for 20 bucks.

I have a 10/22 take down model. It isn't the most accurate rifle by design, but I do have so much fun shooting it at 50 yards.

The scope isn't anything special, but it holds zero and at 50 yards full magnification the distortion isnt terrible, especially as I'm shooting off a bench with bags and a rest.

If I was working on a more accurate rifle, I wouldn't start with a 10/22, and I wouldn't use this scope.

Quick tip, if you havent already swaped out your bolt hold open for an aftermarket one, do it. Its 15 minutes and 15 dollars, for a huge improvment in your shooting experience.
