I’ve watched other videos on the channel, mostly for entertainment, but this one is about asking three AI chatbots for ballistics firing solutions. I.e., give all the input data about the bullet, velocity, zero distance, and environmental conditions, and ask it to provide dope data for different target distances. This would be an alternative way of getting firing solutions rather than using a conventional ballistics solver such as Applied Ballistics or JBM. The testing involved using a highly precise rifle to check actual points of impact with AI-provided scope settings. I found the video interesting because it demonstrated that although the solutions from the chatbots weren’t horribly wrong, none was as correct as the Applied Ballistics solutions obtained with a Kestrel 5700X unit. As is usual with these sorts of videos they contain a lot of talk that is (sort of) relevant to the question, but if you’re interested and want to see results, the 31 and 39 minute marks are good places to check. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nPsR6A835fY ► 6.0/94.0 “I can’t give you brains, but I can give you a diploma.” — The Wizard of Oz | ||
