flesheatingvirusDumb barrel/muzzle device install question
Yes, expanding the tool collection. Situations like this are why I have at least 1/3 of the tools I have.

Black92LXWell, $210 later including muzzle device, hub adapter, rocksett, wheelers upper receiver rod, shims, and an SAE crows foot set I now have my flash hider installed.
I timed it with one prong straight down as suggested earlier though it’s leaned at an angle on the safe so in the picture does not look like it.
Sure beats the need for these huge YHM flash suppressors. The hub adapter also cut about 1 inch off the length of the can. This one is pinned and welded on a Wilson Combat gun. So eventually when I get a new can the YHM will just be dedicated to this rifle and a .308 bolt gun.
$150 of that cost will benefit me in the future for 2 more AR builds I currently have staged and any other muzzle device swap I might deem necessary.
Now just waiting 24 hours for the Rocksett to cure then I’ll fit the suppressor and check alignment.
This rifle is one step closer to being complete. Just need backup sights, going to pull the Steiner from this gun and pull my MRO from my Rock River that is being pulled from Daily carry after 21 years.
And a tighter fitting stock.
This will be my daily rifle until I save up for an 11.5” gun now that we have been approved to carry SBRs and Suppressors.
Sure wish that would have happened before I bought this gun.

Black92LXPretty sure I saved like $200 by getting the old surprise mix and match they call the moonshine.
However, I do need to get an all black light since this will be put to duty use once I finish it up.
