Since my tax stamp came in, I am going to be buying an 11.5" barrel for my MRP in the near future. The gun will be run with a suppressor. Can you swap out the LMT low profile gas block on the MRP barrel unit for an adjustable gas block just like any other AR, or is the LMT gas block necessary for the mounting of the MRP barrel? There's a key that the gas tube passes through attached to the lug where the barrel interfaces with the receiver, and I'm not sure if you need a gas block that has a specific height to make it through that key or what. Anyone know if it's swappable or do I need to use the LMT part? PS: Gun is DI, if that wasn't obvious. ---------------------------- Chuck Norris put the laughter in "manslaughter" Educating the youth of America, one declension at a time. | ||

Not easy. Gasport is drilled at an angle, so it’s not plug and play. Gasblock is also reportedly a real bear to remove. If you want an adjustable gasblock, your best bet is probably to have a standard AR barrel converted for use on the mrp. --------------------------------------------- "AND YEA THOUGH THE HINDUS SPEAK OF KARMA, I IMPLORE YOU...GIVE HER A BREAK, LORD". - Clark W. Im assuming you're getting the barrel from LMT. Call them and let them know you plan on putting a suppressor on it. The'll get you the correct one on the barrel. The regular and low profile gas blocks both fit in the rail platform. ______________________________________________________________________ "When its time to shoot, shoot.
