They all were $7500 when I put them in cart, before posting that. But now, they’re all $11.5k. Wow! Very strange. 7.5k I can see some folks buying it, but 11.5k? Forget about it.

My LGS saw one regular customer buy/transfer one from PSA. Said he pulled the trigger because of the silencer promo.

According to my manager at the gun store, it’s almost exclusively cartel guys who buy this kind of stuff, and they all pay in cash. The one M249S I sold was to a nineteen year old Mexican who didn’t speak English and paid twelve grand in cash. Yes, there’s a special form that gets filed for these, and yes, there’s ATF is watching them.

What is the special form, and why is it filed? Is it mandated by the ATF, like a multiple sale form? Or is it a policy of the particular store you're at?

ATF mandate for .50 caliber rifles, M249S’, more than two (I believe) AK’s, and some others. Border state stuff, because of narco trafficking. Given that they have their network across the whole country, I highly doubt it’s just locals they use in the border states to buy this stuff.
