1900 Steyr made Dutch M95. Originally in 6.5 Dutch (No records if it started as a rifle or carbine), made for the KNIL (Dutch colonials in the Dutch East Indies). Most likely used until WW2. When the Dutch East Indies gained independence and became Indonesia, there was a ton of .303 British lying around. It was converted to .303 by reboring, and a honking big muzzle brake was installed. Most of these are roached, this one has decent wood and a nice bore. Assuming it won't kick worse than my Mosin M38. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ "Yidn, shreibt un fershreibt" "The Nazis entered this war under the rather childish delusion that they were going to bomb everyone else, and nobody was going to bomb them. At Rotterdam, London, Warsaw and half a hundred other places, they put their rather naive theory into operation. They sowed the wind, and now they are going to reap the whirlwind." -Bomber Harris

Very cool! I wonder if it's any easier on brass than the SMLE.
