nosticksNeed help choosing light for coyote killing
Back in the day over 50 years ago, I hunted fox with a record player type call and a regular flashlight taped to my shotgun so as the point of aim was in the center of the beam. Now where I live we have a very active coyote population. I'm in a very wooded area, but there are some houses close by so I rule out using the AR-15.
Can you guys recommend a light to attach to my 12 ga. riot gun that would be a little more high tech than a Maglite and duct tape. Something with a clamp on mount of some sort.

dewhorseI have used something similar to the below for a couple years on hogs and green seems to work better.

casMount.... Riot gun with tube? I just put one of these on a gun. Not cheap, but not crazy. I thought it would probably be cheesy and end up in the junk box, But I really like it. Stick the one inch diameter (body) of the light of your choice in it and you're ready to go. I put a low end SureFire on it, but you could easily go brighter. It keeps the light close, so you can't go with a real big head though.
(they make them in different diameters depending on the tube on your gun)
