The firing pin capture pin on the bolt carrier is digging a groove on the inside of my upper.
I have contacted Sig support and they told me this was normal, but I have never seen this in any other AR style rifle.
Has anyone else experienced this or know someone in Sig that could address it?

Thanks,
Will

Doesn’t sound normal to me. Is it the normal AR type split pin? Are you sure that it’s fully inserted and that the loop end doesn’t stick above the side of the carrier? A lot of times the split end gets hung up and doesn’t make it though the hole in the other side of the carrier. Many times I’ve had to rotate the pin to get it to go all the way through.

It's not normal, but I've heard Sig say this before.
