590 light mount? Login/Join

What are folks using to mount a light on a Mossberg 590? I've got a Surefire forend on my 870, but this 590 is so comparably light and lively in the hands that I really don't want to go with something that bulky. Maybe just a section of rail so I can mount a X300 when I want?

I have a 590A1 and I picked up a Hogue over-molded forend and screwed a small section of rail into it. Has held up for 2 years now with no issues. Mounted light is an X300U.

I found this and put it on my 590.....love it!

Lite Mount Technologies 3-rail shotgun mount from Brownells. About $55 or so.

I used a 1" scope ring mount to hold the light to the rail.

I just ordered a CDM for the Shockwave. It looks pretty solid. Mounts Plus has 12% off right now.

This looks like a pretty good one I'd consider for my 590A1. I've never been a fan of the Surefire units. They are bulky and don't give your hand a lot of purchase.

CDM is the cream of the crop mount.... I have them on my 870P and my Benelli M2 tactical. I use a Malkoff MD2 light, very heavy duty.

Well, since I'm an idiot I have one for not the Shockwave, but for the 590 standard. You want it, copaup?

I appreciate the offer, but I ordered one myself couple days back. Should be here tomorrow. If it works out like I expect it to I’ll probably order another for the Shockwave as well. I like that it looks pretty minimalist.
