This 1301 "LE" model is on clearance for $1299 today at PSA:

Only difference between the Gen 2/3 LE and C models is that the C has removable chokes, while this LE has a fixed IC choke.

I'd spend the extra $150.00 for the Mod 2 at Bereli for the upgraded trigger, Pro lifter, and M-lock forend.

I own both. If you're not happy with the 1301's price....buy the A300. You won't regret it especially since it's half the cost.

It hasn't been that long ago you could get one for under 1K. I had a chance to compare my sons 1301 to my Benelli M4. No doubt the M4 is a heavier duty shotgun. It's built like a tank. Does it really matter for most people? I seriously doubt most folks would ever come close to wearing out a Beretta 1301. The 1301 is light and fast handling. If I could only own one shotgun, it would be a Beretta 1301.

Saw one for sale 2 days ago for $850. Thought about buying it to flip but someone else can use it.

They’re out there. Overpriced is generally, not always, but generally a good representation of their quality and demand.

Sure it wasn't an A300 Patrol? Hard to visually tell the difference from a casual glance.

If I didn't already have the 1301 Tactical I'd be really interested in the A300 Patrol. The 1301 is inerta operated, and a little bit stout with full power loads. The A300 is a gas operated gun, and it'll be a little softer recoiling with heavy loads.

You snagged that marine tactical?

They’re both gas operated with the 1301 being built on the “Blink” gas operated system from the A400 series of semi-auto shotguns. IMO, the 1301 is softer shooting than the A300. The entire recoil spring assembly is forward the bolt while the A300’s spring assembly runs down into the rear stock. It’s more of a different feeling impulse between the two than actual felt recoil. I believe the 1301 is worth the extra cheddar, but the a300 is a great gun. I can outrun my Benelli M4 but not a 1301.

Yep. I was contemplating a Mod 2, but $850.00 1301's don't grow on trees. I'll probably rattle can it. Also have a Nordic extension and Aridus forearm coming. Keeping my eyes open for a Magpul Mossberg SGA stock and adapter.

Somehow I got my recoil systems confused. The1301 is indeed a gas system.

I believe the old 1201FP had an inertia system. Wish I had kept mine.

Yep. Same system as the M1. A number of parts even interchange.

Anyone who swapped to the Mossberg SGA stock from the factory stock and regret it and go back? I’ve had the Magpul stock and gg&g adapter sitting around for a while, but couldn’t convince myself to swap it on my Gen 1 1301. Aesthetically, I think the factory stock looks better, and I don’t really need a higher cheekrest since I don’t use a raised optic.

Mine had the pistol grip stock and I couldn't replace it fast enough. If you decide to sell the SGA and adapter please let me know.

Saw that Berretta is pausing production of the 1301 Tactical due to ATF issues.

We are reaching out to inform you of a pause in the further production of the Beretta 1301 Tactical shotgun with 7+1 capacity, effective November 4, 2024. This decision comes in response to recent regulatory developments with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF), impacting the importation of certain components essential to the assembly of the 1301 Tactical in the US.

^^^^^

I suspect that they may hold shipments, but there's no reason to pause production when the ATF nonsense is going to come to an abrupt end in two months and two days. The Beretta memo was dated 11/4.

What's got ATF's knickers in a bunch over the 1301 Tactical?

Apparently, the 7+1 tube.
