I have a 716 upper and was wanting to purchase a lower for it, what type of lowers will work with this upper other than a SIG?

I don't think any ... I've had a Knights, DPMS & Armalite, besides my SiG 716-DMR and none of the lowers would interchange with other uppers.

The SiG is a kind of an oddball anyway as other hand-guards wont even fit it. Also, IIRC, even the barrels have a different cut and wont fit other upper receivers.

Yeah, 7.62x51 ARs are a different animal from AR-15s, a lot less commonality.

Why do you want a different lower?

It would probably be easier to change out the trigger or the stock rather than change out the complete lower, if that is what you are after.

I read it as he only has the upper, not a complete rifle.

I don't have a lower the only thing I have
is a complete upper. I want to buy a complete lower in order to make a complete rifle.

I suspect that only a Sig 716 lower will work with your upper.

Finding a lower only will likely be a challenge. Maybe someone has a shot-out upper and wants to unload the rifle. Gun auction sites are worth a look.

Or going from a different side, consider selling your upper. Re-invest the proceeds into a complete rifle -- and not necessarily a Sig.

A shot-out upper ... come on fritz, not many people shoot as much as you, and even fewer shoot SiG's!

But I can't think of a better place to look. Save a search on GunBroker and have it send you emails for new listings ... I don't know if other auctions have a similar feature.

I bought a new stripped Sig lower for my 516 upper from a place online, DEguns.net.

No affiliation with them, and their shipping was slow as hell. But, they had one and no one else did!! Might be worth checking
