I was picking up a lower at the fun store and he had a beautiful Mossberg 12 gauge semi auto on the wall. All black, 22” barrel, beautiful and seemed well balanced. I think he had $700 on the tag. In the event that I buy it, it has no intended purpose beside” Weeeee, pretty 12 gauge semi.”

What’s the word on these?

If it's a 930, they are hit and miss, for reliability. I have seen some issues in a 4 day class.

"The designer of the gun had clearly not been instructed to beat about the bush. 'Make it evil,' he'd been told. 'Make it totally clear that this gun has a right end and a wrong end. Make it totally clear to anyone standing at the wrong end that things are going badly for them. If that means sticking all sort of spikes and prongs and blackened bits all over it then so be it. This is not a gun for hanging over the fireplace or sticking in the umbrella stand, it is a gun for going out and making people miserable with." -Douglas Adams

“It is just as difficult and dangerous to try to free a people that wants to remain servile as it is to try to enslave a people that wants to remain free."
-Niccolo Machiavelli

The trouble with fighting for human freedom is that one spends most of one's time defending scoundrels. For it is against scoundrels that oppressive laws are first aimed, and oppression must be stopped at the beginning if it is to be stopped at all. -Mencken

For that price, you can get a Beretta A300, but it's not available in a tactical/home defense configuration.

I have had good luck with the mossberg semi's personally. But I am struggling with what model might be $700. did you notice what it was?

I didn’t see the model. I was trying not to look too hard or it would’ve followed me home that day.

I'm thinking good plan, because its likely you would have paid way too much...

Too much.
Don't care what model it is, say no to $700 Mossbergs. Big Grin

If I were going to put $700 in an automatic shotgun, I'd be looking at Remingtons or another brand.

This, the Remingtons are the most versatile with aftermarket stocks, barrel lengths, and accessories.
