Not saying or even predicting that they will drop out of the AR market, but SIG has shown no reluctance whatsoever to suddenly dump other guns and models that they could have kept going even with little expense or effort. As we know, a lot of companies got into that line when it seemed as though the demand for the rifles would never peak, but then there was the November miracle. A lot of manufacturers and sellers woke up on the morning of the 9th and said, “Oh …, dam’!” As someone once pointed out, the future is hard to predict, but it’s something to consider. “I don’t want some ‘gun nut’ training my officers [about firearms].” — Unidentified chief of an American police department. “I can’t give you brains, but I can give you a diploma.” — The Wizard of Oz This life is a drill. It is only a drill. If it had been a real life, you would have been given instructions about where to go and what to do. | |||

I have one and have put 3200 rounds through it so far. I only had one malfunction which is when it would not go back in the battery. A little oil solve the problem. The only disadvantage of my rifle is that like many of the AR's it is a little heavier than I would like. I only added a vertical grip and rail which should weigh about 2 ounces and now the AR weighs 7.4 pounds without a magazine. I am not big and thus I feel the weight more so than when I pick up a 6.3 pound AR. For midrange price I would look at SIG Sauer and Smith & Wesson. Staying with direct impingement you could also look at LWRC and then Daniels defense. PS A Magpul GEN 3 magazine weighs about 5 ounces and 30 rounds of ammunition should weigh around 12 ounces. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Democracy is 2 Wolves & a Lamb debating the lunch menu.
