1921 Remington Model 11 project gun I need to tear into, and a 1974-78 870. The 870 was my grandfather’s, and got handed down to me when I was 11. It’s the shotgun I learned on with a 32” full choke barrel. Killed a lot of clays, tons of crows and blackbirds in the fields around our property (the farmer who owned them asked me to keep them off his corn) hunted turkey, Canada geese, pheasant, and deer with it. The 12” barrel on it feels elegantly menacing, and correct.

Next up is the corrections trade in 870P I picked up a couple weeks ago. Wink

Haha, yeah, and filament and thread adapters as well. Both the above were actually done on Form 1’s, but I have several others I’m going to chop this weekend.

lol. Sooooooo yesterday I was in the local shop and talking about the new rules for SBS.

They had a cheap 870 express for $350. Asked them if they would cut the barrel just like yours (12 inch)for that price and they said they would.

I literally haven’t picked up a shotgun that was not loaded with less lethal/breaching rounds in 10 years. But here we are.

America.

Yeah, I have a couple unused 28" 870 barrels collecting dust that are just begging for a rendezvous with a saw, a quick splash of cold blue, and the addition of some clip-on vent rib sights...

Yeah, I haven't had much use for a shotgun in a long time. The $0 tax and now this has breathed new life in shotguns for me. I was gifted a Winchester Model 37 in 20ga when I was a teenager that is absolutely beaten to hell, and I'm seriously thinking I need to just give it the chop and restore what's left of it. Why? Well, why the fuck not?

Oh, and hey, post us a pic. Floodgates are open, let's see the tide. Big Grin

I need to actually get out to the garage and do that 870P I picked up. I keep saying I'm gonna do it and other stuff comes up. Single dad mode, wife's visiting family. Ugh.

Just think, Randy Weaver was surrounded and had family members murdered for almost doing this.

Yeah, I said basically the same thing the other day in the thread in the Lounge. Vicki Weaver died for what I get to do legally later today. I wonder if Lon Horuichi had a fucking stroke this weekend. Would be a damn shame. Roll Eyes

Can't wait to SBS my Saiga 12. Waiting for this to sort out in Kolorado. Still have a form 4 I'm waiting on too.

Super happy that everyone in free states are doing what just last week would have made them felons Roll Eyes.

I would like to put a stock on my Aftershock but the searching I’ve done has me confused which buttstock will bolt on. I already have a stamped 870 and a Shockwave 870 equivalent.
As far as the Weavers, I thought they died because he resisted efforts of the Feds to use him as a mole through threats of prosecution over cutting down a barrel they asked him to cut.
