When I had an AR, I used an A.R.M.S. Detachable pistol grip mounted reversed.

Worked for me better than the broomstick type of the era.

Tried the magpul stubby, ok for a handstop, that's about it.

Wow, I miss having an AR, Sucks living in NYS.

Another +1 for BCM. I have them on all my ARs.

They come in a few different models, with various sizes, features, and attachment methods.

Since you rifle has a rail, you'll want one of these models:

Standard/Long: https://www.bravocompanyusa.co...p/bcm-gfvg-black.htm

Short: https://www.bravocompanyusa.co...k-p/bcm-vg-s-blk.htm

Mod 3 (similar in size to Short, but simpler and less expensive): https://www.bravocompanyusa.co...g-1913-mod-3-blk.htm

Those are all black models, but they're also available in a few other colors, like FDE, Foliage Green, and Gray.

I have a Fortis Shift vertical that I put on my 300 blk SBR. It is very high quality, mine is m-lok but they have several versions.

I stopped using mine because while, I liked it for solely shooting offhand, I found it got in the way when shooting from structures.

My personal favorite is the gripstop. Initially branded by Lanco Tactical then B5 Systems the inventor recently started his own company called True Borth Concepts. I’ve tried the Magpul AFG and couldn’t get used to it. The Gripstop allows a perfect grip no matter how you prefer to grip the rifle and doesn’t put your wrist at an awkward angle. True North hasn’t released a 1913 version yet however you should be able to find a B5 version.
