has anyone ever been able to replace the buttpad on a older sig 550 series folding stock?

I doubt you can source, find, then change out the plastic butt plate? Try the stock manufacturer, if needed send just the stock in?

One could put a tight ‘slip-on’ pad over it.

You could get black ‘shoe goop’ and create a patch. It could be a repair the gives you ‘street cred’ to dress as an extra on the next ‘Mad Max’ movie.

Contact gunfactory.ch or Wyss Waffen in Switzerland. They might have the assembly you need.

The rubber plate is a click in type. It has to be removed by destroying it. Don't remove anything before you received the part.

The manufacturer might be of little help because he only is the OEM manufacturer for SIG and probably is not allowed to sell in his name.

so the stock is repaired. I was able to pry off the old rubber coating, use a Dremel to score around the white plastic where the stock meets the buttpad and pry off the butted. the new pad went on with a little help from a rubber mallet. looks great now!
