Blackmoon1SIG SAUER MPX (Update: Exclusive Non-NFA version P7)
I have an octane 9 in NFA jail at the moment...
I had thought the O.D. of these cans were larger than the I.D. of the rails.[/QUOTE]
-----------------------------------------
The diameter of the Octane is 1.5" so it will just fit inside the rails. Some of the guys were also talking about getting the Thompson Machine SG2, which has a diameter of 1.625", but I don't think that will fit inside. I need to get out my calipers to confirm that though.....

Run an octane on a 4" barrel. Has about 1mm in each side around it.

Yes, I'm very jealous of Diesel's 4"er.....barrel.
:')
So if .125" = 3.175 mm, (Thompson SG2 is .125" larger diameter then Octane) then the SG2 won't fit under the hand guards.

maddy345Am I the only person that is right handed and prefers a folding stock to fold to the right? It just seems to deploy faster if you reach over the gun with your left hand and pull it open than to try to unfold one from the left side.
Think HK MP5K folder.
I would love Sig to make an ambidextrous folding stock so it can fold to either side.

cmr076This may be a dumb question, but a transferable DIAS wouldn't work in this or the 556 version, would it? I thought I rewad somewhere that the trigger/sear group were the same. Now THAT would be cool.

Almost the same as an AR15

So an AR sear would work?

A DIAS should work in the MCX since the MCX was designed an upper for the military's M16.
Not sure about the MPX, possibly, but might need a different bolt carrier.

It does have the little bevels in the front, as someone else has mentioned. Hopefully this will make a difference in terms of marring the receiver. Yes, it is still sloppy.
You got a gonga deal on that one. I had to pay $55 (including shipping).

armedjetflyerHere is my theory why some telescoping stocks are shipping, and why some are still on backorder since May...
The STOCK-MPX-TELE and STOCK-X-COLLAPSIBLE-BLK are the same railed unit that is so coveted by us. It is the "crown jewel" of the MPX stock selections.
So, the Spring/Summer 2015 backorders may be in limbo since they were coded as STOCK-MPX-TELE, and the Fall 2015 orders were
entered as STOCK-X-COLLAPSIBLE-BLACK.
I received mine under the later SKU designation, and just 10 weeks after the initial order.

bheadMy side-folding stock ordered back on 6/18 shipped!

Is that the polite way of saying 'unorganized and inept'? I canceled my order from 6/10 as I'm very happy with the new folding/telescoping stock.

MPX select fire group is a little different (Hammer and Disconnector) than the standard M16 but nothing 5 minutes in the shop doesn't fix, sear will fit the same but the lower needs milling out like an AR there is also a connector bar that gets fitted to the upper to transfer the trip from the carrier to the sear as the carrier doesn't come far enough to the rear, never looked in a factory select fire but thats how we do it

SuperPollitoWith apologies to the folks with telescoping stocks on backorder since forever, I placed an order on 12/23 and noticed on 12/28 my card was charged. Called them up, and sure enough, it's being palletized for shipping. (Stock-X-Collapsible-Blk)
Sig is definitely messing some people over.

capone75088Unbelievable, I have been waiting since May and have corresponded with Sig CS monthly. The latest from Sig was end of Q1 2016 for backorders.
