8" pistol is on order, GM-9 is on order.
Just need to swap out 8" with 4.5" barrel.
What optics are you guys going with? I am thinking about a Trijicon RMR RM05G with the dual illumination and 9 MOA dot.
The optic I'm looking at using is the new Aimpoint T2, which releases sometime in Nov.
Since I've got a gift card from LaRue Tactical will get their T2 with a tall mount.

Same. Waiting for my pistol with brace and I just mailed out my form 4 for my TiRant yesterday.

I am also going with a Trijicon RMR RM05G. I have it mounted on a Low-Pro mount from AMS Machine. Both lightweight and rugged.

AndrewSDo you have the RMR already? If so how do you like it. It seems a lot of people don't think it is bright enough.

Personally i love it. I love the fact that there are no batteries to worry about and the dual illumination adjusts itself to the ambient light so i dont have to take my hands off my weapon when going from light to dark or dark to light. However, it does have its flaws. The main issue is that ambient light is required for the reticle to get "brighter". So for example, if you are inside of a building (low light) looking outside (bright light), the reticle will wash out and will NOT be bright enough to see. Now whether or not the reticle is "bright enough" otherwise is a matter of personal preference. I can see it just fine.

RichardCBest barrel length for 357 Sig.
http://ballisticsbytheinch.com/357sig.htmlApparently, an 8" barrel does not offer much ballistic advantage over the 4-5" typical carry/service pistols:
4" 1426fps
5" 1501
8" 1612
But a 16" does: 1723fps.

350zrbFrom #s above:
these is a gain of 13% going from 4" to 8".
But there is a gain of only 7% going from 8" to 16".

350zrbI called Rockwellarms today to check on status of my MPX-PSB. The guy said that Sig told them this week or next week the shipment should arrive.
And yes, I am on the top of the list. :-)
November 24, 2014, 06:25 PM
AndrewSThat is good news. Hopefully I am toward the top as well. When did you place your order with them if you don't mind me asking so I can check against mine?
November 24, 2014, 06:41 PM
350zrb11/10/13. But I am the first to pay so I am #1 on the list.

AndrewSOh wow you are way ahead of me then. It is officially your job to post lots of pics for us.

RichardC http://ballisticsbytheinch.com/megraphs/357sig.htmlhttp://ballisticsbytheinch.com/2011graphs+/223ME.htmlInterestingly,
Muzzle energy of a typical 55GR FMJ .223 and a typical 125 GR 357 Sig from an 8" barrel:
.223 is about 700 ft-lbs versus about 750 ft-lbs for the 357 Sig.

I can confirm that there are no plans for a .45 or 10mm MPX at this time. Kevin was joking.
I did receive notification that SIG will be shipping demo MPXs to media reps. I'll be doing an in-depth review once I get my T&E sample.
The media getting some production copies should be considered a good sign for those who want their own personal copies.

46and2Thanks for the confirmation. ^
9mm it is, then.
