That's enough to make my heart skip a beat. In a batch of 18,000 M1s brought back from Greece, 150 unissued rifles were discovered. Anniston yes. Just saw pics of one in a foam lined box. Dry as a sun baked bone. Pics of pallets and racks of M1s being inventoried. Last unissued M1 I saw was a HRA at the CMP Auction site. The prices of Garands being resold online are climbing. I hope I can get resettled in time enough to try for a CMP rifle. Dont know if I can still shoot a M1 in High Power but I'd sure like to know.
