I preordered one awhile back just to see how they worked.

I got my shipping confirmation today. Sure hope they hold up.

I certainly like the idea.

I’ve got mine (6) and had them to the range last week.
Functioned as designed! It’s so nice to use a regular SBR lower for 9mm now!

Mine shipped out today. Unfortunately, I will be missing a few pieces to finish my first 9 mm AR build.

Do these come with the pmag body included, or is it just the guts of the endomag?

MEAN's website states their magazine conversion works with Colt or Glock BCGs. Is this true? How is your upper configured?

I purpose built a 9mm upper for this using a Spinta Precision bolt. I’ve seen those bolts run on both colt and Glock pattern lowers.

The only difference is how the bolt is cut to travel between feed lips, to my knowledge. So anything that works with a Glock, will work with both. Anything specifically cut for a colt, will not work with a Glock.

I was running a steel match today and a guy had 4 for his 9mm. His was colt bolt style. He ran the match (200 rounds) without any issue which impressed me.
They don't seem a big winner on cost as the end mag is more expensive than a real metalform but I really like the idea that you can use basic AR skills while doing mag changes etc. I'm going to invest in a few.

Small update. After I actually looked at the product last Sat. I ordered a few. The guy who was running them in the match said he had them on order for 2 months, so I wasn't really expecting a quick order turnaround.
I received the ship notification today and delivery Friday. So that's less than a week from order to delivery (assuming the USPS doesn't fup). If they get here I'm going to run them this weekend at a match and will report.

Pretty sure they are in full production now.
Up until last week they were still a preorder basis. They have raised the price $5 or so since removing the preorder.

My only concern is the ejector wing/lip. If you are looking from the rear it is on the left side. It is quite thin and moves side to side quite easily.
I see this easily breaking off.

Black92LX, have you tested what actually happens when you pull the bolt back without a mag with a round in the chamber...
I'm wondering where it ends up.

The round stays in the chamber.

Interesting! how many rounds do they hold? Can the insert be used on 20 round magazines?

Must be used in a 30 round body.
They come limited to 10 rounds but you cut the limiter strip at certain heights for the amount of rounds your state may limit you to.

This is shown in the video posted above about the 1:50 mark.

I saw the video way back, but I wasn't sure if every gun behaved that way. My colt bolt seems to hold onto rounds pretty sloppily so I'm not sure if they might not drop off at some point even without an ejector there. But in any case my endomags are here and I'm going to test them to see how they do. Its an odd range safety situation for our carbine matches that I have to think about.

Yeah, I saw that you can cut it down, but I wanted to know the max number of rounds, and so far from what I read it is 30. (2 short of my SMG mags).

I'd be more interested in 20 round mag body size, over the 30 with the limiter strip cut.
