Getting ready to mount my new suppressor as soon as the adapter arrives in the mail.

What do you recommend to degrease and clean the muzzle threads before Rocksetting the new muzzle device on?

Non-chlorinated brake cleaner is an excellent and inexpensive metal degreaser.

Just don't get it on any plastic or wood bits.

Try 99% Isopropyl Alcohol, pretty cheap here at the grocery store.

I've always used acetone, as recommended in this Surefire video. It's always worked well for me.

Depending on grime level...

Lacquer thinner - new to slightly use barrel
Brake cleaner then lacquer thinner - dirty to filthy

Mass airflow sensor cleaner is a good degreaser, evaporating faster than brake cleaner. It shouldn't harm plastic, since the housing of a MAF sensor is typically plastic.

Also don’t forget to degrease the threads of the device as well.

Made that mistake once.
