Right on. I'll look into Montana Black, hadn't seen them and that Grey color is what was throwing me.

I've seen some rattle can jobs that look pro and this is one of them. I'm probably too immature to pull that off.

If you want it to look like a factory ceracote job then send it out and let a pro do it. If you like the mil spec, diy look then it's super easy. There's a million youtube videos on it.

Decide where your line between form and function falls.

Me, I leave mine unpainted now and if shit ever hits the fan I’ll throw some big lines on it, make it look like Arnold’s face in Predator.

I'm a complete paint moron. Second gun ive ever painted. If I can do it I'm confident anyone reading this could do it. Otto is right, it's all in the prep and patience. Be willing to spend the time and don't set a deadline when you want it done. Just prep, spray, apply stencils, spray, apply stencils etc.
