Yep I really love my SCARs. Sure wish they'd release the SSR version on the civilian market. I can't imagine what the hold up is. Imagine how nice that would be in 6.5 Creedmore.

I like everything about the SCAR except the caliber. My gas guns outside of 5.56 are 6.5 Creedmoor and 6.5 Grendel. I no longer buy or load for anything .308 as I have gotten rid of them all. I understand it's a civilian offering of a military rifle. I just don't shoot .308 any longer.

Go ahead punk, make my day |
Looks like with the SOCOM adoption of 6.5 Creedmore, we’ll see some MK20 SCARs barreled in that caliber - maybe there will be some trickle down to the civie market / SCAR 17s.

The SCAR17 is a great rifle. I had a original Galil ARM in 308 and my SCAR17 despite being much lighter than the Galil felt recoil was much less with the SCAR. They are expensive but worth the cost in my opinion. I have one for sale in the classifieds if anyone is interested.
